We are working with an established Manufacturing company based in Crewe, UK.

They are recruiting for a CAD Designer/ Engineer to join their team.

Salary in the region £30.000 - £40.000 depending on experience & skills.

Our Client is a fast-growing, innovative company operating within a prestigious international organisation.

Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced CAD Designer/ Engineer, preferably with some Injection Moulding expertise, in both component & tooling design.

Injection moulding experience is desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Create component and tooling designs.
• Contribute to the manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of injection moulding tools
• Diagnose and resolve tooling issues quickly and effectively
• Coordinate tool trials and support production start-ups
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the tool room
• Liaise with external tooling suppliers and contractors where required
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping
• Support tool design reviews and improvements

A background of tool making would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.

Other desirable skills/attributes:

• Experience in injection moulding tool manufacture and design
• Proven experience in tool maintenance, repair and fault finding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing/ continuous improvement
