About the Role
Murray McIntosh are currently seeking a Production Manager to start work on a 6 month contract starting ASAP as detailed below:
Experience required:
Previous production management experience
Engineering and manufacturing experience (complex low volume high value production is ideal)
Demonstrable shop floor/cell leadership with exposure to ISO 9001/AS9100
Capable of supporting capacity planning, workflow sequencing, and bottleneck removal.
Comfortable enforcing standard work, build discipline, and compliance requirements.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, routings, and change notes.
Confident communicator able to lead and manage from the front
Understands low‑rate defence manufacturing realities (documentation, audits, compliance).
Can work effectively with engineering, supply chain and planning
