It is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. We are one of the largest private employers in Miami-Dade County, home to more than 16,000 faculty and staff from all over the world.</p><p></p><p><b>Employment <span>Requirements:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Candidates for this position should have completed a U.S.-approved residency in Anesthesiology or have obtained equivalent training and certification.</p></li><li><p>Pediatric Anesthesia<span> Fellowship</span></p></li><li><p>Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required for this position. (an equivalent board certification can be determined on a case-by-case basis).</p></li><li><p>While research experience is not required to apply for this position, it is highly <span>desirable.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Job <span>Description:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Pediatric Anesthesiologists should feel comfortable performing various cases, including newborns, young children, adolescents, and adults. Transplant experience is highly desired. Limited skills in regional and the ability to anesthetize older children is helpful.</p></li><li><p>Applicants should be comfortable supervising residents, CRNAs, and <span>SRNAs.</span></p></li><li><p>Applicants should also feel comfortable performing cases on their own if<span> required.</span></p></li><li><p>Applicants should be able to participate in the department's academic activities, including teaching and mentoring trainees and participating in departmental conferences and faculty <span>meetings.</span></p></li><li><p>Call is expected to be 3-4 beeper calls per month (some calls may be from home).
