Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Pay
$140,000 - $150,000 annually, base salary

Hybrid (Fort Worth, TX – 2 days/week in Downtown Fort Worth)
Summary
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and enhance security operations within a rapidly growing luxury travel company. This role offers significant growth potential as the organization expands its data-driven, tech-centric environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security, compliance, and modern defense strategies, contributing to a dynamic team dedicated to building robust security operations and passing rigorous audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security (Azure preferred, AWS transferable)
- Proven experience with SIEM, log analysis, incident response, and security posture management
- Strong understanding of cloud defense strategies, modern security technologies, SaaS app security, and application security
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake security, Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel, and Crowdstrike
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/271, and experience preparing for and passing audits
- Penetration testing expertise required
- Technology certifications such as AZ, CompTIA, CISSP preferred
- Familiarity with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR)
- Ability to build, tune, and manage detective and preventative security systems
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with executives, security leaders, and technical teams
- Experience with project management tools like Azure DevOps and ISMS platforms (Kanban style)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of security operations and defense strategies
- Develop and maintain SIEM and detective systems, ensuring adaptability to evolving AI and phishing threats
- Oversee cloud security controls, agent ingestion, and log analysis across multiple SaaS applications
- Assist in security audits and compliance efforts, particularly ISO 27001/271 standards
- Establish and refine incident response playbooks and response plans
- Train and mentor team members to strengthen organizational security posture
- Collaborate with business units and security leadership to negotiate protocols and improve security awareness
- Build and continually improve security monitoring tools, including alert configurations and detection systems
- Support ongoing security projects focused on SaaS, application security, and cloud infrastructure
- Contribute to fostering a strong in-office culture with 2 days/week presence, maintaining engagement and team cohesion
