<p><b>Maintenance Operative</b></p> <p><b>Initially 6 months FTC, with the possibility of renewal.&nbsp;</b></p> <p><b>Pampisford, Cambridgeshire CB22</b></p> <p><b>Monday &#8211; Friday, 40 hours per week (negotiable)</b></p> <p>Dixon International Group Ltd (DIG) is an established family business and a market leader in the construction and testing sector, based in South Cambridgeshire on a landscaped 4-acre site. Currently employing around 60 &#8211; 70 staff, we are looking to recruit someone to work alongside our Maintenance team to maintain the premises and grounds. The role is very varied and involves both indoor and outdoor working.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>The Ideal Candidate:</b></p> <ul> <li>Someone with previous experience in a similar or comparable role.</li> <li>As the role can sometimes be physically demanding, you will need to be physically fit.</li> <li>Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.</li> <li>Someone who is highly motivated and a team player.</li> <li>Someone keen to learn new skills (e.g. forklift driving).</li> <li>Willing to travel and hold a full UK-valid driving licence.</li> </ul> <p><b>What the Role Entails:</b></p> <ul> <li>General painting and decorating.</li> <li>General repair work (basic joinery, minor construction and plumbing etc.).</li> <li>Maintain plant, services and vehicles ensuring they are in working order.</li> <li>Gardens and grounds maintenance (general grounds cleaning / clearing, minor tree trimming, repair guttering, filling potholes).</li> <li>Good understanding of compliance, Health and Safety, and safe working practices.</li> <li>Collecting building materials etc.</li> </ul> <p><b>What&rsquo;s On Offer:</b></p> <ul> <li>11.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays as they fall within the 6-month contract.</li> <li>Workplace pension.</li> <li>The possibility to extend the contract / convert to full-time for the right person.</li> </ul> <p><b>Salary&nbsp;</b></p> <p>Salary ranges from &pound;25,000 &#8211; &pound;31,000 pro-rated based off skill and experience.</p> <p><b>About Us</b></p> <p>We are a family manufacturing company specialising in the production of draught, weather, fire and acoustic seals since 1961.
