Job Description 1. Oversee Day‑to‑Day Trading Operations Ensure smooth end‑to‑end functioning of trading activities, including trade execution, post‑trade operations, settlement, and operational risk monitoring. 2. Build and Optimize Operational Infrastructure Design scalable systems, workflows, and processes that support high‑frequency or systematic trading strategies, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance. 3. Lead Cross‑Functional Teams Manage operations, compliance, technology, and risk teams; act as the bridge between traders, quant researchers, and engineers. 4. Strengthen Risk and Control Frameworks Implement robust operational risk controls, monitoring frameworks, and escalation procedures to safeguard trading activities. 5. Drive Technology and Automation Initiatives Partner with CTO/engineering teams to automate manual workflows, enhance trading platforms, and upgrade infrastructure for speed, resiliency, and accuracy. 6. Manage Regulatory and Compliance Oversight Ensure all activities comply with international and local market regulations (SFC, MAS, SEC, etc.); oversee audits, filings, surveillance, and internal policy development. 7. Oversee Vendor and Exchange Relationships Manage negotiations and relationships with exchanges, brokers, data vendors, and service providers to support business needs. 8. Oversee Financial and P&L Operations Collaborate with CFO to monitor firm‑wide financial health, including budgeting, cost controls, capital allocation, and resource planning. 9. Enhance Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Implement and regularly test business continuity plans, system redundancy, data recovery, and incident‑response processes. 10. Support Strategic Growth and New Market Expansion Evaluate and execute operational setup for new asset classes, regions, or trading strategies; guide the firm through scaling initiatives. The Successful Applicant 1. Extensive Experience in Quantitative or Systematic Trading Environments 10+ years in trading, operations, or risk roles, preferably within high‑frequency, proprietary trading, hedge funds, or market‑making firms. 2. Strong Technical and Market Infrastructure Knowledge Deep understanding of market microstructure, low‑latency environments, FIX protocols, OMS/EMS systems, and back‑office workflows. 3. Proven Leadership and Operational Excellence Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams, streamline processes, and implement scalable operational frameworks in a high‑pressure environment. 4. Exceptional Risk Management & Regulatory Knowledge Expertise in operational risk, trade lifecycle controls, compliance frameworks, and global regulatory requirements. 5. Strategic Thinker with Strong Execution Skills Ability to translate business goals into operational capabilities, drive change, and manage complex multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
