History Teacher Bradford

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Bradford from September until December. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum.

 

 

• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.

 

 

• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.

 

 

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities.

 

 

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies.

 

 

• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative working practices.

 

 

• Support students in developing critical thinking, analytical, and historical enquiry skills.

 

 

• Attend relevant school meetings, training sessions, and parents’ evenings as required.

 

Pre-requisites:

 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

 

 

• Experience teaching History within a UK secondary school setting.

 

 

• Strong subject knowledge across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 History.

 

 

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

 

 

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

 

 

• Two school based references.
