About the Role
Drama Teachers – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Norwich and the surrounding areas, delivering creative and engaging Drama lessons across a range of classes either on a flexible daily or long term basis.
Duties as Drama Teacher:Deliver engaging Drama lessons using provided plans
Teach performance skills, script work, character development, and expressive arts
Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and communication
Support practical and theory‑based learning activities
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of mixed‑ability groups
Assess and record pupil progress when required
Contribute to departmental activities during longer‑term placements
Ideal Drama Teacher:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge in Drama and performing arts
Confident behaviour management and classroom presence
Ability to inspire and motivate students through creative teaching
Flexible and adaptable across different year groups and school environments
Strong communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
