About the Role
<p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide system security analysis and program documentation and risk assessment analysis in support of the RTP mission.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a comprehensive picture of the threats to NGA Research programs.</li>
<li>Assist in the identification of potential program vulnerabilities that could be exploited.</li>
<li>Assess the impact of losing NGA R&D information.</li>
<li>Perform overall security risk assessment for NGA’s research efforts.</li>
<li>Provide pros and cons associated with proposed risk mitigation options.</li>
<li>Assist with reviewing and establishing additional technical and process-related security classification guidance for new concepts developed by the Offices and Pods.</li>
<li>Develop uniquely tailored classification guidelines for innovative GEOINT tools development and GEOINT data and specialized handling and dissemination instructions for Intelligence materials and specialized GEOINT programs and<br />
publications from NGA/Research.</li>
<li>Provide expert advice and assistance regarding the protection of classified information, classification management, special security, industrial security, security education and training, and security investigations.</li>
<li>Coordinate with PMs and OGC to identify export-controlled/ITAR restricted technologies in development within NGA Research.</li>
<li>Provide briefings and assist in briefings for NGA Research workforce on evolving security policies and guidance, including foreign Government relationships.</li>
<li>Apply Business Intelligence (BI) and social network analysis to illuminate threats, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for exploitation within traditional and nontraditional supply chains, networks of individuals, financial and non-financial business activities, technology trends, academic partnerships and research collaborations.</li>
<li>Identify, characterize and analyze the capacity and maturity of the technology, innovation, development, and manufacturing ecosystem, including tiered and sub-tiered supplier bases, both domestic and foreign, to develop, deliver, and evolve critical enabling technologies and components.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>15+ years of work experience</li>
<li>Experience in developing, staffing and managing security programs for Research and Development</li>
<li>Experience with research and technology protection (RTP)</li>
<li>Experience with program protection (P2) planning (PPP)</li>
<li>Working knowledge in any of the following:
<ul>
<li>DoDI 5200.1 Information Security</li>
<li>DoDI 5200.48 Controlled Unclassified Information</li>
<li>IC Markings Guide</li>
<li>DoDI 5230.24 Distribution Statements on Technical Documents</li>
<li>DoDI 5200.39 Critical Program Information</li>
<li>DoDI 5000.83 Technology and Program Protection to Maintain Technology Advantage</li>
<li>DoD Technology and Program Protection Guidebook</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree</li>
<li>Willingness to sit for a CI Poly</li>
</ul>

<li>NGA experience</li>
<li>Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)</li>

<li>Special Program Security Certification (SPSC)</li>
<li>Master's or PhD degree</li>
