With 150 beds and a full continuum of care, we help our patients make sustained progress toward better health throughout their time at our serene, 20-acre main campus in St. Charles, Missouri. We are seeking a Full Time Experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Our levels of care are separated by age group: <ul><li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559684":-2,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" aria-setsize="-1" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Adolescents (ages 12-17): Inpatient mental health treatment, detoxification, dual diagnosis treatment, residential treatment for substance use disorders </li><li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559684":-2,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" aria-setsize="-1" data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="1">Adults (age 18 and older): Inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP) for mental health disorders; detoxification; residential treatment for substance use disorders </li><li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="2" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559684":-2,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" aria-setsize="-1" data-aria-posinset="3" data-aria-level="1">Senior adults (no age limit): Inpatient mental health stabilization, detoxification, and medication stabilization for dementia </li></ul></div><div class="acadia_accordion_group acadia_accordion_group_1 sectionbox light sp"> </div>Overview:Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment of patients at facility under the supervision of the Medical Director and work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners. <ul><li>Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.</li><li>Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan</li><li>Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs.</li><li>Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines.</li><li>Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patient within appropriate guidelines.</li><li>Encourage family involvement in patient care. Respond to identified patient and family educational needs.</li><li>Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy and procedures, medical staff bylaws and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.</li><li>Provide on-call responsibilities on scheduled basis directed by medical staff.</li><li>May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe medication.</li><li>Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</li></ul> <ul><li>Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required.</li><li>Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment and patient care required.</li><li>Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner required.</li><li>Experience in addiction highly preferred.</li></ul>Licenses/Certifications: <ul><li>Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required.</li><li>Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates.</li><li>DEA license.</li></ul> Acadia Healthcare Acadia is a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services across the United States.
