QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
Location: Sandy Utah 84070 – 100% on-site
Payrate: $22.70/hr
Required Availability: Full-Time | Rotating Schedule (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
Schedule Pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off; 3 days on, 2 days off; 2 days on, 3 days off.
QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Quality Assurance Technician will support production for a leading medical device manufacturer. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, ensuring GMP compliance, and responding to nonconformances on the production floor. You will act as a guide for production teams, helping to isolate defects and document quality events accurately.
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs

QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Support: Respond to nonconformances on the line, assist with product containment, and guide teams through corrective actions.
Auditing & Compliance: Conduct daily audits of production areas and documentation to ensure adherence to SOPs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Documentation: Assign nonconformance tracking numbers and ensure detailed, accurate records of all quality events.
Training: Provide feedback and training to operations staff to support skill development and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inspection methods and participate in quality improvement projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with operations and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and support production goals.
QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
Previous quality assurance experience required - in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel). Experience with SAP is a plus.
High attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, detect visual defects (color variations, surface irregularities), and work in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
PPE Requirements: Must be willing to wear required PPE, including hair nets, beard covers, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and smocks.
Setting: Frequent work in cleanroom/manufacturing environments as well as office settings.
Conditions: Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, temperature fluctuations, and moderate to loud noise levels.
