About the Role

Senior Internal Sales Engineer Salary: Basic £33k-£35k OTE £38K Location: North West The Role: Manage incoming customer enquiries by telephone and email Prequalify customers’ enquiries; technically, commercially and negotiate terms (if required) of the requirements and adhere to credit control procedures 3 Produce clear and accurate proposals Actively participate in the utilisation of salesforce.com/SAP for the purpose of co-operation and collaboration of business opportunities Maintain Sales pipeline with forecast date and probability Manage Sales pipeline regarding open opportunities to close sale Work closely with all teams/departments to develop and improve customer performance Completion of applicable documents to ensure accurate processing of orders Own and manage customer accounts including database maintenance Enhance product knowledge via formal training, on-the-job training, and elearning Promote our Digital Sales platform Prioritise workload and self-manage activities Liaise with Application Consultants and/or Industry Managers for complex applications Identify cross-selling opportunities and communicate with Service and Solutions to develop integrated offering and expand sale Maintain an understanding of the company’s business including specific industry segments Take ownership of complaints, returns, and other issues affecting customer satisfaction Commit fully to the Company Performance & Development Review Process Work to the company Quality Assurance Procedures Assist with any other Sales duties as required   Requirements: Ideally educated to Degree level – technical degree or equivalent relevant industry qualification. Must have English Language and Maths GCSE Previous work experience in the process industry or with instrumentation is advantageous but not essential, as is commercial sales experience Excellent communication skills and telephone/digital (Skype/GoTo/Microsoft Teams etc) manner Excellent interpersonal skills with a high regard for exceptional customer service Commit to practicing positive behaviours with customers and colleagues; be realistic, be there, build trust, think ahead, communicate, and make their day. Self-motivated with a positive attitude Able to multi-task and work under pressure Able to work as a team member and as an individual Prioritise and organise own workload Empowerment – able to take ownership Consultative selling approach with questioning techniques Computer literate
