About the job Lead Mechanical Engineer – AI / Hyperscale Data Centers I’m partnering with a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure company that is building next-generation hyperscale data center campuses across the US. We’re looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to define and lead the mechanical cooling strategy for some of the largest AI compute infrastructure projects in the industry. Locations: TX | NY | CA| USA Role: Full-time Compensation: $300K–$350K base + equity (DOE) Travel: ~20–30% This is an owner/developer-side role where you’ll have the opportunity to shape mechanical systems from chip-to-chiller — supporting high-density AI/HPC deployments at unprecedented scale. Key focus areas: Hyperscale / AI data center cooling strategy Chilled water plants, heat rejection, and thermal management Direct liquid cooling & high-density GPU environments Mechanical standards, Basis of Design, and master specifications Modular / prefabricated mechanical systems Leading design delivery across multiple sites Managing consultants, vendors, and engineering teams Ideal background: 10+ years mechanical engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical environments Strong hyperscale / HPC cooling experience Experience with MEP design delivery and owner-side engineering Knowledge of ASHRAE TC 9.9, liquid cooling, and critical infrastructure standards Experience leading teams and driving technical strategy For more information please contact: ellen.harradine@clear-er.com
