Location: Highlands and Islands Region, Location TBC, Likely Dingwall or Inverness

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 FTE

Hours: Part-time, 15 hours per week.

About the roleMorven-May MacCallum MSP is seeking two knowledgeable and empathetic Caseworkers to join her office team. The successful candidates will play a central role in supporting constituents across the Highlands and Islands, acting as the first point of contact for those seeking help and advocating on their behalf with relevant bodies to resolve their cases.

Key responsibilitiesDay-to-day duties will include responding to public enquiries and constituent correspondence; managing an active caseload by logging, tracking and progressing cases through to resolution; meeting constituents to discuss a wide range of issues; advocating on constituents' behalf with public bodies, agencies and other organisations; and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems in line with GDPR requirements.

MSPs are employers in their own right. All MSP staff are required to be security vetted in line with HM Government (HMG) Personnel Security Controls and any employment cannot begin until security clearance has been granted. MSPs will also carry out other pre-employment checks including eligibility to work in the UK, and employment references where applicable.
