INTRODUCTION:
The Sponsor's office is looking for an individual to compliment the team with Elasticsearch and other big data search and exploitation skills. The Sponsor’s office manages a system that consists of multiple system to system interfaces, and multiple ETL pipelines. The Sponsor requires specialized support in the development of these new Application Services.
WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Contractor Support; HRR; Yes
The Contractor shall support transition of a Java/Springboot application, interfacing with an Elasticsearch data tier, to the next generation Python-based solution.
The Contractor shall maintain the legacy search environment until such time that it can be retired.
The Contractor shall provide new feature development as well as ongoing operations and maintenance of the next generation platform in coordination with an Agile Development team.
The Contractor shall work within a dynamic Agile environment, supporting integration with multiple applications and representing development team in Technical Exchange meetings.
1. Demonstrated experience developing solutions with Elasticsearch.
2. Demonstrated experience with development and support of Java/Springboot applications.
3. Demonstrated experience developing solutions in Python.
4. Demonstrated experience supporting multiple inter-related services.
5. Demonstrated experience working with REST services.
6. Demonstrated experience with AWS Services and Cloud-based development.
7. Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining the Cloud Infrastructure services such as EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, and VPC.
8. Demonstrated experience working in an Agile (Sprint or Kanban) development environment.
9. Demonstrated experience exhibiting analytical skills to assess customer requirements and create innovative solutions.
10. Demonstrated experience exhibiting problem solving skills to include debugging and testing web applications.
11. Demonstrated experience in design, such as design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
12. Demonstrated experience in Systems Analysis, such as determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
13. Demonstrated experience in identifying technology gaps in current capabilities and processes.
1. Demonstrated experience with on-demand computing solutions such as Kubernetes or Lambda.
2. Demonstrated experience with Big Data tools and environments containing structured and unstructured data.
3. Demonstrated experience with monitoring and event management in AWS Services.
4. Demonstrated experience creating and implementing automation for cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting.
5. Demonstrated experience with authentication services.
6. Demonstrated experience configuring Application Programming Interface Gateways.
7. Demonstrated experience deploying applications into a managed cloud environment.
8. Demonstrated experience configuring security features in a managed cloud environment.
9. Demonstrated experience managing CI-CD (Continuous Integration - Continuous Delivery) pipelines through tools such as Cloud formation and JENKINS.
10. Demonstrated experience in conveying technical information to non-technical individuals.
11. Demonstrated experience with Springboot 2.79, Java 11.17, JPA, or Elasticsearch Java API Client.
12. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem solving issues related to development across multiple security boundaries including both secure and unsecure environments.
