About the Role

SEN Behaviour Mentor, Hailsham  Rate: £90–£110/day Contract: Long-term (term-by-term), temp to perm, day to day supply Location: Hailsham (East Sussex) Responsibilities: Mentor pupils with SEMH or behavioural challenges to develop better coping strategies Lead small-group or 1:1 restorative sessions; promote conflict resolution Work with staff to support behaviour plans and risk assessments Provide structured social time (break, lunch) to help pupils develop self-regulation Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external partners around pastoral needs Track pupil behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and progress over time Requirements / Advantages: Enhanced Child-Only DBS essential Driving licence preferred (widens catchment) Experience in youth work, counselling, or behaviour mentoring is highly desirable Why Apply: A meaningful, human-centred role that makes a real difference for emotionally vulnerable pupils All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
