About the role: Justteachers is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bradford . This is a full-time position starting in September 2026 , offering an excellent opportunity to work within an established Early Years team and make a positive impact on children’s learning and development. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the school following a successful period through Justteachers. As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils in their learning, social development, and wellbeing. You will help create a nurturing and engaging learning environment where children can thrive during this important stage of their education. Key Responsibilities: Supporting children in the Reception classroom with daily learning activities. Delivering targeted support to individuals and small groups. Assisting with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting children’s emotional development. Supporting pupils with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment. Contributing to observations and assessments of pupil progress when required. Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals. Pre-requisites: Previous experience working within an Early Years or Reception setting . A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. Experience supporting young children with their learning and personal development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach. The ability to work effectively as part of a team. A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
