Our client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England.
This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead all commissioning activities across a major phase of the project, ensuring mechanical, electrical and control systems are planned, tested and commissioned safely, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements. Working closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, MEP teams, commissioning engineers, subcontractors and client representatives, you will develop and manage the commissioning strategy, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive successful project completion through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead all commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to integrated systems testing and client handover 
•    Develop and implement project commissioning plans, programmes and commissioning strategies 
•    Coordinate commissioning teams, specialist subcontractors and equipment vendors 
•    Manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, CSA, controls and client fit-out teams 
•    Ensure systems are installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with project specifications and client requirements 
•    Oversee commissioning documentation, inspection and test plans, system completion & turnover processes 
•    Monitor commissioning progress and implement recovery plans where required 
•    Chair commissioning meetings and provide regular progress reports to project leadership and client teams 
•    Manage system walkdowns, punch lists, snagging and close-out activities 
•    Ensure all commissioning activities comply with health, safety and quality standards 
•    Support integrated systems testing (IST), energisation and operational readiness 
•    Lead the successful handover of commissioned systems to the client and operations teams 

Requirements
•    Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on major construction projects 
•    Previous experience delivering hyperscale data centres, mission-critical facilities, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or other complex industrial developments 
•    Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, controls and BMS systems 
•    Experience managing commissioning programmes within live, multidisciplinary project environments 
•    Excellent knowledge of commissioning procedures, QA/QC, system completion and handover processes 
•    Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills 
•    Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors, consultants and client teams 
•    Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline 
•    Experience working within fast-paced, technically demanding construction environments
