Associate Director – M&A03 June 2026
We have partnered exclusively with an international renewables developer to appoint an M&A professional to its growing Investment team in Dublin. You will work directly with the Head of M&A to identify and execute suitable transactions across Europe.
THE ROLE:
- Lead business development activities on behalf of Asset Development seeking merger and acquisition opportunities internationally in current and future technologies
- Development, management and responsibility of the business case for assigned acquisitions
- Manage the entire (commercial, technical and legal) due diligence process for any acquisition opportunities identified in conjunction with the relevant departments across the business
- Co-ordinate effectively between the providers of inputs to the model and the financial modellers and ensure commercial focus and rigour is brought to business cases right from project inception
- Prepare and present papers to the internal Investment Committee and prepare subsequent offer letters and Board papers
Requirements
- 10 years relevant experience in M&A, Corporate Finance etc.
- Strong commercial focus through having a clear understanding of the business case for large renewable/infrastructure projects
- Financial skill to appraise project returns and profitability.
- A track record in new business development initiatives, with relevant experience in managing the development of energy generation projects.
- Experience of working from own initiative, taking ownership of work/projects and motivating team members to deliver team objectives or projects.
- Ability to clearly plan and communicate the requirements to progress specific projects or new initiative
