We provide comprehensive care for adolescents adults who are struggling with substance abuse, addiction, and a wide range of mental health disorders.<h3 data-start="545" data-end="572">Delta Specialty Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, is a leading provider of mental health and addiction treatment services for adults and seniors of all genders. At the inpatient level, we care for adults who have mental health disorders and substance use disorders, as well as those whose lives have been impacted by posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other effects of trauma. Our inpatient senior care program serves older adults who have been struggling with memory problems and other age-related concerns. We also offer outpatient care for adults age 18 and older. Every patient who is entrusted to our care follows a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique history, strengths, needs, and goals.</h3><h3 data-start="895" data-end="917">What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li data-start="730" data-end="822">Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as developed by the supervising BCBA.</li><li data-start="825" data-end="916">Provide direct therapy services in accordance with ABA principles and ethical guidelines.</li><li data-start="919" data-end="995">Collect accurate and timely data on patient progress and behavior targets.</li><li data-start="998" data-end="1123">Assist in skill acquisition programs including communication, social skills, daily living skills, and emotional regulation.</li><li data-start="1126" data-end="1228">Support behavior reduction strategies using positive reinforcement and evidence-based interventions.</li><li data-start="1231" data-end="1290">Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.</li><li data-start="1293" data-end="1407">Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinical team members, and caregivers regarding progress and concerns.</li><li data-start="1410" data-end="1488">Participate in ongoing supervision, team meetings, and training as required.</li><li data-start="1491" data-end="1596">Complete documentation and session notes in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.</li></ul> <h3 data-start="1786" data-end="1816">What We’re Looking For</h3><ul data-start="1817" data-end="2176"><li data-start="1817" data-end="1887">Experience developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans</li><li data-start="1888" data-end="1953">Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills</li><li data-start="1954" data-end="2018">Experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations</li><li data-start="2019" data-end="2105">Clinical competence in providing high-quality ABA services in a structured setting</li><li data-start="2106" data-end="2176">Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team</li></ul><h3 data-start="2183" data-end="2211"> </h3><h3 data-start="2183" data-end="2211">Required Credentials</h3><ul data-start="2212" data-end="2441"><li data-start="2212" data-end="2289">· Registered Behavioral Technician certification required.</li></ul><h3 data-start="2448" data-end="2468"> </h3><h3 data-start="2448" data-end="2468">Why Join Us?</h3><ul data-start="2469" data-end="2719"><li data-start="2469" data-end="2530">Work in a supportive, team-oriented inpatient environment</li><li data-start="2531" data-end="2595">Make a real difference in the lives of children and families</li><li data-start="2667" data-end="2719">Competitive compensation </li></ul> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Implement behavioral modification techniques that are individualized and outlined in the patient's behavioral support plan (BSP).· Ability to review and apply treatment techniques outlined in the following assessments: Preference Assessment, Functional Assessment Interview, and Essential for Living Assessment for skill building.· Data collection and entry into assessment to demonstrate treatment effectiveness.· Will work directly with and under an ABA therapist to implement, track, update, and modify the patient’s BSP.· Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety and providing excellent customer services.· Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.· Responsible for conducting safety checks and ensuring that supervision is conducted at 15 minute intervals, as noted in special precautions, or in accordance with individualized supervision guidelines as needed.· Document timely, accurate and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical record.· Assist in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for patients, significant others and staff.· Patient safety is monitored through required rounds completed timely. Patient room is clean and uncluttered. Observation may be assigned every 15 minutes, within reach of patient and/or 1:1 patient care.· May obtain patient’s vital signs, height and weight as assigned and document in patient record. accurate.· Identify self to patient and visitors promptly and respond to patient requests quickly.· Engage with patient in activities and interactions designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.· Respond to distressed patient in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress.· Apply de-escalation techniques to help manage patient’s emotions, behavior and participation in treatment and assist with seclusion and restraint when necessary.· As part of the multidisciplinary team provide safety and increase coping skills of patient and assist in developing strategies for helping patients to be as independent as possible.· Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce these behaviors. Report changes and responses to treatment by communicating with team. Significant changes are reported to nurse immediately.· Reinforce skills patients learn from nurses, physicians and therapist that promote improved physical and mental wellness.· Oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, meals, snacks, hydration and changing bed linens, as needed.· Help with admissions and discharges if needed.· Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures. OTHER FUNCTIONS:· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. STANDARD EXPECTATIONS:· Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality.· Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team.· Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.· Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.· Maintains regular and predictable attendance. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:· High school degree required.· At least 6 months’ experience working with individuals with IDD, one year preferred.· Some college in the helping professions (social work, psychology, sociology, etc.) preferred LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:· Registered Behavioral Technician certification required.· CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).· First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
