About the Role

<p><strong>Property Accountant, Hounslow, £32,000 to £40,000</strong></p> <p>My Client, a growing independent and boutique estate agency with a portfolio all over West London, are seeking a Property Accountant to joint their team in their team in Hounslow.</p> <p>Fluency in Punjabi or Hindi is highly desired, as many of their clients and suppliers communicate in these languages.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.</li> <li>Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide analysis to support decision-making.</li> <li>Taxation: Handle tax planning and ensure compliance with tax laws. Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time.</li> <li>Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.</li> <li>Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic planning, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall financial performance.</li> <li>Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.</li> <li>Audits: Coordinate and support external audits, address audit queries, and implement audit recommendations.</li> <li>Vendor and Client Management: Oversee financial transactions with vendors and clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.</li> <li>Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices. Implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.</li> <li>Financial Advice: Offer financial advice and guidance to the management team on business decisions and investments.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Accounts qualification is essential (ACCA or equivalent).</li> <li>Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the real estate or property sector.</li> <li>Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li> <li>Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.</li> </ul> <p> <strong>Other Details</strong></p> <p>Salary: £32,000 to £40,000<br /> Required working hours: Office based Monday &#8211; Friday, 8am to 4pm</p> <p>Dove &amp; Hawk Property Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of permanent workers.
