Job Title: Night Support Worker
Night Support Worker (Children's Residential - Complex Needs) - Meldreth, near Royston
Essential requirements: You must have the legal right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is NOT available. Enhanced DBS required. Waking nights on a rota are essential.
Location: Meldreth (Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border)
Hours: Avg. 40 hrs/week on a 4‑week rota (8:45pm-8:15am); FT and PT available
Pay: £12.37-£13.49 per hour + £25/night supplement + £1,500 welcome bonus
Make a difference overnight supporting children and young people with complex learning needs. Provide calm, consistent care that helps them settle safely and sleep well.
What you'll do
Deliver high‑quality waking‑night care and observation.
Support bedtime and morning routines; assist with personal care as needed.
Monitor and record wellbeing; respond to incidents and escalate appropriately.
Administer and record prescribed medication (post‑training).
Complete light housekeeping tasks during quieter periods.
About you
Experience in care is essential; children's residential/SEN/complex needs experience is a bonus.
Calm under pressure, resilient and compassionate team player.
Reliable with strong communication and record‑keeping skills.
