The Role
You will lead the combined Analytics and Data Science function, with responsibility for strategy, delivery, and stakeholder engagement across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Bringing together separate Analytics and Data Science teams into a unified function
* Leading and developing a team of managers and specialists across analytics and data science
* Setting the roadmap for customer focused data initiatives, including loyalty and pricing optimisation
* Driving adoption of self service analytics and improving data accessibility across the organisation
* Leading the overhaul and optimisation of dashboards and reporting frameworks
* Partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple business units to influence decision making
Your Skills and Experience
* Strong commercial experience leading both Analytics and Data Science functions
* Proven ability to define and execute data strategies in consumer focused organisations
* Experience delivering data transformation programmes, including self service analytics and reporting improvements
* Background in customer analytics, loyalty, or pricing related use cases
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership
* Solid technical grounding in data science and analytics, with the credibility to guide teams and review outputs

We are working with a high growth direct to consumer business that is investing heavily in its data platform to support ecommerce, marketing, and customer analytics.
This role will be instrumental in building a scalable analytics layer to drive performance across digital channels.
The Role
You will own the analytics engineering layer supporting ecommerce and marketing, working closely with stakeholders to deliver trusted data and actionable insights.
Key responsibilities include:
Building dbt models to support ecommerce and marketing use cases
Developing ELT pipelines across tools such as Airbyte and Python
Designing datasets for customer, product, and transaction analytics
Supporting BI and dashboarding in Looker
Partnering with marketing, growth, and product teams on KPI development
Enabling self serve analytics across digital teams
Requirements
4+ years experience in analytics engineering or data engineering
Strong SQL and dbt experience
Experience working with ecommerce or marketing data
Hands on experience with modern data warehouses and BI tools
Experience supporting stakeholder driven analytics use cases
Nice to have
Shopify or similar ecommerce platform experience
Experience with marketing attribution or customer analytics
Exposure to BigQuery, Looker, or Airbyte
Python experience
