SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant (SEMH Focus)Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs? We are working with a welcoming primary school that is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant to join their team within a specialist SEMH provision.About the Role:This role is based within an internal resource base designed to support pupils with SEMH needs. You will play a vital role in helping students manage behaviour, engage in learning, and develop positive coping strategies in a structured and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needsAssist in managing behaviour and implementing intervention strategiesSupport learning within a small, specialist provisionBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement and progressWork closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support plansHelp create a safe, consistent, and nurturing environmentIdeal Candidate:Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needsStrong behaviour management skills and resilienceCalm, patient, and adaptable approachAbility to build rapport and act as a positive role modelTeam player with good communication skillsWhat's on Offer:Salary circa £30,000 (dependent on experience)Opportunity to work within a specialist SEMH provisionSupportive leadership and collaborative staff teamOngoing professional development opportunitiesThis is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of young people who need additional support to thrive.Apply now or get in touch to find out more.
