About the Role
This is a flexible supply role, offering a mix of day-to-day cover and potential long-term placements. It is ideal for candidates looking for variety, as well as those seeking more consistent work within a supportive school environment.
You will support teaching and learning across different year groups, working closely with class teachers and providing additional support to pupils where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils
Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials
Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
Adapt quickly to different classes and routines
Support pupils’ engagement, progress, and wellbeing
Supervise pupils during break times where required
Requirements
Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different classes
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Desirable
Experience working within UK primary schools
Experience supporting pupils with SEND
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant)
