About the Role

Some classrooms need more than lesson plans. They need patience, consistency, and someone who doesn’t give up when things get tough.

We’re working with a specialist provision in South Bristol looking for a teacher to support pupils with SEMH needs.

This role is about making a real difference, not just getting through the timetable.

What your day will involve:
You’ll be teaching a small group of pupils, adapting lessons to meet their needs and focusing on engagement as much as academics.

You’ll build strong relationships, support emotional regulation, and create a classroom where pupils feel safe enough to learn.

No two days will look the same, but the impact you make will be clear.

The ideal candidate:
You’ve got QTS or strong teaching experience.

You’re calm, resilient, and able to see beyond behaviour to what’s really going on.

Experience with SEMH or SEND is helpful, but mindset matters just as much.

Why Protocol Education:

Weekly PAYE pay
CPD in SEMH and behaviour strategies
A consultant who understands the role properly
Long-term opportunities where you can see progress
