Teaching Assistant – SEN
A SEND school in Plymouth is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support primary aged children (4–11) with Moderate Learning Difficulties, communication and interaction needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment where every pupil is valued and encouraged to reach their potential.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to help pupils access their learning, develop confidence, and improve communication and social skills. The post involves supporting children 1:1 and in small groups, assisting with tailored classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
