(PK9292)</strong></p><p><strong>LEAD MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - INJECTION MOULDING</strong></p><p><strong>WEST MIDLANDS</strong></p><p><strong>Day Shifts only</strong></p><p><strong>Competitive salary based on your expertise + 25 days holiday plus 8 statutory Bank Holidays + Bonus Scheme + Pension + Life Assurance</strong></p><p>We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical expertise to join a busy manufacturing operation within the injection mould plastics sector. This position will play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site. The role offers long-term progression opportunities, with plans to grow the engineering function and develop future leadership capability within the team.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on injection moulding machinery and associated plant equipment such as robots, compressors, chillers, and material handling systems.</li><li>Fault-find and repair electrical and control systems, including PLCs and automated production equipment.</li><li>Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities to minimise equipment failures.</li><li>Support improvements and modifications to machinery to enhance performance, reliability, and safety.</li><li>Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with health & safety and site compliance procedures.</li><li>Work closely with production teams to maximise machine uptime and operational efficiency.</li><li>Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and manufacturing operations.</li><li>Accurately record maintenance work through digital systems and maintenance software.</li><li>Produce regular updates on engineering activities, ongoing improvements, and completed works.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with colleagues across engineering and production departments to support smooth site operations.</li><li>Carry out risk assessments and maintain safe working practices at all times</li></ul><p><strong>Candidate Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous maintenance engineering experience within plastic injection moulding or a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong electrical fault-finding capability with experience working on PLC-controlled machinery.</li><li>Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar discipline.</li><li>Able to work independently, prioritise workload, and take ownership of maintenance activities.</li><li>Comfortable using CMMS systems and digital reporting tools.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.</li><li>Previous experience supporting, mentoring, or guiding Junior Engineers would be beneficial.</li><li> </li></ul><p> </p>
