Job Summary:
St. Matthew School, a thriving Pre-K3 through 8th grade Catholic elementary school located in Northeast Philadelphia, is rooted in faith and academic excellence. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and mission-driven Fundraising and Marketing Professional who enhances our presence in the community and strengthens our fundraising initiatives through engaging events and digital outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising:
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising initiatives focused on scholarships and school programs
- Cultivate alumni and community relationships to build a strong base of support
- Build-out our alumni database and outreach efforts
- Coordinate annual giving campaigns and donor engagement efforts
- Create and execute a program to build participation in the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program.
2. Marketing and Communications:
- Strengthen the school’s public profile through social media, digital marketing, and traditional media
- Create compelling content that reflects the mission and achievements of the school
- Oversee the design and distribution of newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials
- Support the school’s overall advancement strategy
- Assist with administrative tasks related to development and communications
3. Events Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage fundraising events and community engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with school staff, volunteers, and partners to execute successful events
- Support our Home and School Association
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in fundraising, marketing, or advancement roles
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media platforms
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school environment
- Proficiency with computer systems, MS Office Suite, Google Classroom, etc.
- A commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
Working Conditions:
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for events and meetings.
