font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="text-align: justify; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;">The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.</span></p><ol><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Apply appropriate nursing skills in the area and treatment of inmates/residents.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Provides leadership in improving and sustaining the quality and effectiveness of care in diverse or complex programs.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Monitors key indicators of health status and clinic operations.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Uses screening and focused study formats to detect variation in healthcare delivery process.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Designs data collection instruments; compiles and analyzes data; design interventions to address issues.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Provides written reports and conducts CQI meetings.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Participates in preparation for accreditation and inspections.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Attend sick call with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined; prepare examining room and equipment</span></font></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facilities as required by their condition.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders.</font></span></li><li style="margin: 5pt 0in 5pt 0.5in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Provide guidance, supervise and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.</font></span></li></ol></font></span></p><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><p style="font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Qualifications: </font></span></strong></p><ul style="font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif;"><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Advanced Public Health or related field is required, OR must possess three years related industry experience and/or performance improvement experience. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Must possess current RN licensure in the state of employment. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Three (3) years of current, professional nursing experience in leadership and/or management preferred. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Experience in a correctional health care program preferred. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.</font></span></li></ul><p style="font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, sans-serif;"><em><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE including Disability/Veteran.</font></span></em></p></font></span></p>
