About the Role
Join our dedicated team in Suffolk as a Consultant Social Worker specializing in Child Protection (CP) and Children in Need (CIN). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families. Your expertise will guide less experienced social workers, fostering a collaborative environment where best practices are shared and upheld.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in complex situations.
Leading case reviews and providing expert advice on safeguarding and intervention strategies.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to coordinate services.
Mentoring and supporting junior social workers to enhance their professional development.
Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
Strong assessment and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
