<p><strong>Principal Traffic Engineer needed in North London Paying  £29.20 per hr ref 013670</strong></p> <p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong>  </p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, development, and delivery of traffic engineering and highway schemes.</li> <li>Provide expert technical advice on traffic management, road safety, and transport planning matters.</li> <li>Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and programme.</li> <li>Undertake traffic assessments, analysis, and modelling to support decision-making.</li> <li>Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, drawings, and contract documentation.</li> <li>Manage consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and policies.</li> <li>Support the development of traffic regulation orders, parking schemes, and highway improvement projects.</li> <li>Engage with residents, businesses, elected members, and other stakeholders on transport-related initiatives.</li> <li>Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff.</li> <li>Contribute to strategic transport and highway planning objectives.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to verity@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number. </p> <p>Essential Employment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
