Commercial Technology Associate (TMT) | Manchester City Centre | Tier 1 firm 

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Technology Associate to join a highly regarded commercial law firm in Manchester. The firm is recognised for its strength in technology, digital and commercial contracts work, advising a broad client base ranging from fast-growing technology businesses to established national and international organisations.

This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of commercial technology and IT matters, supporting clients operating at the forefront of digital innovation. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on technology transactions, software agreements, intellectual property matters and data protection issues.

The role
As a Commercial Technology Solicitor, you will advise clients on a broad range of matters including:

• Technology and software licensing agreements

• SaaS, cloud computing and digital platform contracts

• Commercial technology and IT services agreements

• Intellectual property and technology commercialisation

• Data protection, GDPR and regulatory compliance

• Negotiation of complex commercial technology contracts

You will work closely with experienced lawyers within a collaborative team environment, gaining exposure to high-quality commercial technology work while building strong client relationships.

Candidate requirements
Applications are welcomed from solicitors who can demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales

• Experience in commercial technology, IT contracts or TMT work

• Strong drafting skills in technology agreements and commercial contracts

• Knowledge of intellectual property and data protection frameworks

• Excellent commercial awareness and problem-solving ability

• Strong communication and client relationship skills
