Live-in Housekeeper Job in Reading, Berkshire

A valued returning client of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an experienced and professional Live-in Housekeeper to join their private estate in Reading. The property is a large five-bedroom residence set over three floors. You will be joining a well-established and long-standing housekeeping team, working collaboratively to maintain the highest standards throughout the home.

The family are not always in residence; however, flexibility is required, as weekend working will be expected when they are in situ. 

Duties to include:

• Maintaining the property to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and presentation

• Full care of laundry and ironing, including delicate and high-end fabrics

• Ensuring the home remains impeccably tidy, organised, and guest-ready at all times

• Assisting with simple cooking would be a bonus but is not essential

• Running household errands as needed

• Driving is essential

• Previous experience within a private household is essential

The ideal candidate will be discreet, professional, and take pride in their work. You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to use your initiative, whilst also working harmoniously within a team environment. A positive, can-do attitude and a flexible approach are key. You must be comfortable working as part of a close-knit, established team. 

Accommodation: Recently refurbished two-bedroom property with a private garden and separate entrance - Pets and partners will be considered for the right candidate

House: Large five-bedroom residence arranged over three floors

Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, with two weekends per month

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
