Scientist, Enzyme and Protein Engineering

<div> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Scientist, Protein Engineering + Platform Technologies</strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal">A company in Rockville, MD is currently looking to add a Scientist to their team who will work on creating a platform for protein engineering.</p> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ol> <li class="MsoNormal">Conduct experiments, analyze data, and contribute to product development and research objectives.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Establish computational methods for determining protein structure using AI technology such as Rosetta.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Develop workflows for studying protein interactions, including enzymes and DNA/RNA.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Provide recommendations to management and help implement new initiatives.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Communicate findings, challenges, and suggestions for project progress to internal teams.</li> </ol> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li class="MsoNormal">PhD in structural biology, biochemistry, or computational biology with 0-4+ years of relevant experience.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Track record of publications or patents related to protein prediction and enzyme engineering.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Leadership skills and understanding of management practices.</li> </ul> <p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li class="MsoNormal">Experience in protein modeling and studying protein interactions.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Knowledge of AI and machine-learning methods is a plus.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Keep up-to-date with advancements in protein engineering.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Demonstrate creativity, collaboration, and proactivity.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Excellent communication skills and previous supervisory experience.</li> </ul> </div>
