Salary: £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 3:00pm (45 hours per week)

Our client, a well-established transport and logistics business based in North Lanarkshire, is seeking an experienced Traffic Planner to join their busy operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual with proven experience working within a pallet network environment.

The Role

As a Traffic Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating vehicle movements, maximising fleet efficiency, and ensuring service levels are maintained across pallet network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning daily vehicle routes and schedules.

• Managing pallet network collections and deliveries.

• Monitoring driver performance and compliance.

• Liaising with drivers, customers, depots, and network partners.

• Responding quickly to operational issues and route changes.

• Ensuring all deliveries and collections meet customer and network requirements.

• Maintaining accurate transport records and planning systems.

• Optimising vehicle utilisation while controlling operational costs.

Essential Requirements

• Previous Traffic Planning experience within a pallet network operation is essential.

• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and driver hours regulations.

• Experience using transport management systems (TMS).

• Excellent geographical knowledge and route planning skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced transport environment.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
