Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Central Chelmsford – September Start

Are you a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant looking to make a real difference? Protocol Education is working with a welcoming primary school in central Chelmsford seeking an LSA to support a Year 1 class from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide SEN support while also helping pupils transition smoothly into Year 1, both academically and emotionally.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils within a Year 1 classroom

• Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support

• Assisting with the transition from EYFS into KS1

• Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally with SEN

• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Confidence supporting early learning and development

• A genuine passion for helping children succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
