You will be responsible for ensuring that high-precision components, machined via <strong>CNC Lathes and Milling centers</strong>, meet the comanies rigorous quality standards.<br><br><br> This is a dynamic role for someone who takes pride in accuracy. While the immediate focus is on part inspection, they are looking for a candidate with the ambition to grow. As you settle in, there is a clear path to take on <strong>Quality Control (QC)</strong> responsibilities and play a key role in their <strong>ISO c</strong>ompliance and audit processes.<br><br><br> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li><strong>First-Off & Final Inspection:</strong> Conduct thorough inspections of machined components using a variety of manual and digital measuring equipment.<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Technical Verification:</strong> Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.<br><br></li><li><strong>Equipment Calibration:</strong> Maintain and calibrate measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs).<br><br></li><li><strong>Non-Conformance Reporting:</strong> Identify, document, and report any defects or deviations from specifications.<br><br></li><li><strong>Collaboration:</strong> Work closely with CNC Programmers and Operators to troubleshoot quality issues during the production run.<br><br></li></ul></ul><br> <strong>Future Growth Opportunities</strong><br><ul><li><strong>ISO Involvement:</strong> Assist in maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and preparing for ISO audits.<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Quality Management:</strong> Opportunity to evolve into a Quality role, overseeing broader process improvements and supplier quality.<br><br></li><li><strong>Reporting:</strong> Developing and analyzing quality KPIs to drive shop-floor efficiency.<br><br></li></ul></ul><br> <strong>Candidate Requirements</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Proven background in an inspection or quality-controlled engineering environment (preferably CNC machining).<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficient with hand-held measuring tools; experience with <strong>3D Measuring Machines (CMM)</strong> or similar automated inspection tech is a distinct advantage.<br><br></li><li><strong>Attention to Detail:</strong> An uncompromising eye for detail and a "right first time" mentality.<br><br></li><li><strong>Communication:</strong> Ability to clearly explain technical issues to both the workshop team and management.<br><br></li><li><strong>Ambition:</strong> A desire to learn the administrative and compliance side of engineering (ISO standards).<br><br></li></ul></ul><br> <strong>What We Offer</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Work-Life Balance:</strong> A 39-hour week finished by Thursday evening.<br><br></li><ul><li><strong>Competitive Salary:</strong> Based on experience and technical proficiency.<br><br></li><li><strong>Career Progression:</strong> Active support for training in ISO standards and quality management.<br><br></li><li><strong>Modern Environment:</strong> Work with high-end CNC technology in a clean, professional engineering facility.<br><br></li></ul></ul>
