<p><strong>Toolmaker Engineering Technician</p>
<p>Location:</strong> Primarily site-based, UK (Occasional UK travel may be required)<br />
<strong>Hours:</strong> Full Time | Permanent<br />
<strong>Salary:</strong> £42,000 + benefits</p>
<p><strong>Overview</strong></p>
<p>We are recruiting a hands-on Toolmaker Engineering Technician to join a busy manufacturing site in Bridgwater. This role focuses on high-precision toolmaking to tight tolerances, supporting production efficiency, equipment reliability and site safety. You will play a key role in enabling fast responses to new designs and production demands while maintaining the highest quality standards.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of a Toolmaker Engineering Technician</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manufacture and refurbish high-precision, low-tolerance tooling to engineering drawings</li>
<li>Operate manual and CNC machinery, including XYZ ProTrak machines</li>
<li>Support tooling design and development in collaboration with engineering teams</li>
<li>Provide creative, practical solutions to manufacturing challenges</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workshop environment</li>
<li>Support maintenance activities when required</li>
<li>Contribute to continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives</li>
<li>Assist with mentoring apprentices and sharing technical knowledge</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Skills and Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Apprentice-trained engineer or equivalent technical qualification</li>
<li>Proven experience in precision machining and toolmaking</li>
<li>Strong manual and CNC milling and turning skills</li>
<li>Experience working to extremely tight tolerances</li>
<li>Good problem-solving, time management and communication skills</li>
<li>Proactive, detail-focused and team-oriented approach</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Site-based role in Bridgwater</li>
<li>Occasional UK travel may be required</li>
<li>Right to work in the UK is essential</li>
