SUMMER ADVANCEMENT

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Office of Catholic Education is offering a dynamic Summer Advancement Internship at Cardinal O’Hara High School for college students interested in non-profit development, alumni relations, communications, and fundraising. Interns will work directly with experienced professionals to gain hands-on exposure in a mission-driven environment.

This is a 2026 May-August summer position.

Responsibilities

Interns will contribute to strategic development efforts across the following areas:

Alumni Relations

• Support communication strategies to engage alumni
• Assist with planning and coordination of reunions and alumni events
• Maintain and update alumni databases

Fundraising & Appeals

• Assist in developing content for annual fund appeals (digital and print)

Event Planning

• Help organize events such as donor receptions and school fundraisers
• Provide event support and logistical planning assistance

Social Media & Marketing

• Create content and assist with updates for school social media accounts
• Promote fundraising and community engagement initiatives

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college students
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

Program Highlights

• Mentorship: Interns will be matched with a mentor from the Advancement Office
• Professional Development: Includes training in Raiser’s Edge CRM, project management, etc.
• Networking: Monthly gatherings (virtual/in-person) with fellow interns
• College Credit: Documentation and support provided for students receiving academic credit
