Part 2 Architectural Assistant / Part 1 Architectural Assistant (with Graphics)
Location: Surrey - Full Time Office-based (within 30-minute commute)
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Full-time
We’re working with a long-established and well-respected architectural practice that is looking to appoint a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or a strong, experienced Part 1 Architectural Assistant who can combine technical drawing support with impressive graphic design capability.
This newly created hybrid role has come about due to continued workload and an internal restructure and offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys both architectural production and visual presentation within a collaborative studio environment.
THE ROLE
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting both the technical and graphics functions of the practice. Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with drawing production for residential planning applications
Producing and amending drawings primarily using AutoCAD
Supporting the CAD team under the guidance of an experienced Team Leader
Preparing coloured drawings, presentation material, and planning documents
Assisting with public consultation material, exhibitions, and leaflets
Supporting website visuals and social media graphics during busy periods
Working closely with architects and technologists across live projects
The role is fully office-based and suited to someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
ABOUT YOU
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
Part 2 qualification or strong Part 1 experience
Solid AutoCAD capability (essential)
Confidence using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign essential)
Experience with SketchUp (advantageous)
An interest in, or experience of, architectural graphics and presentation
A proactive, reliable, and collaborative approach
Ability to commute within 30 minutes of the office
Experience within an architectural or built environment setting is highly beneficial.
