Lancashire - QSW - Fostering Team - £36 p/h UMB

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Fostering Team in Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and assessing foster carers, ensuring that children in care receive the highest standard of support and care. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster carers, ensuring suitability and readiness to provide a safe environment for children.
• Working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual children's needs.
• Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, identifying any training or resources required to enhance their caregiving abilities.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of fostering services.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England registration.
• Proven experience in fostering or children’s social work, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
