Senior Engineer, OR&A - Mechanical Closing Date 31 August, 2026 Location UAE - Abu Dhabi Job Family Engineering Type of Contract Fixed Term Contract Full/Part time Full Time Region (current) Middle East Ref No 16264 Senior Engineer, OR&A - Mechanical Penspen is hiring a dynamic Senior Engineer – Operations Readiness & Assurance (Mechanical) to join our team in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering world-class oil & gas projects, ensuring assets are safe, reliable, and fully optimized for operational success. Key Responsibilities: Lead OR&A activities for Mechanical System across project phases. Review and validate engineering deliverables (P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, etc.). Ensure mechanical integrity and reliability strategies are in place (e.g., RBI, PM, CBM). Support development of maintenance strategies and procedures. Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS, and other safety/technical reviews. Coordinate with Engineering, Commissioning, and Operations teams for smooth handover. Verify documentation, training, spares, and maintenance strategies prior to start-up. Qualification Required. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is Mandatory. Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry in the similar role. Minimum 5+ years of experience in large-scale EPC projects within the Middle East, preferably ADNOC Group. Proven experience in Operations Readiness, Commissioning, or Start-Up roles. Strong background in mechanical systems (rotating & static equipment). Experience with major capital projects (EPC environment preferred). Familiarity with ADNOC Engineering Standards and international codes (API, ASME, ISO). Experience in asset integrity, reliability, and maintenance strategies. #LI-JM1
