About the Role

As an Activities Coordinator/Companion, you’ll lead a wide variety of social events to create a stimulating, entertaining and therapeutic environment for our residents. You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating a diverse calendar of engaging activities with our residents, for our residents, that bring a breath of fresh air. Your goal is to assist residents in leading a fulfilled life by ensuring they have the opportunity to engage in activities that cater to their needs and preferences. An essential part of the role is to coordinate a rolling calendar of entertainment within the home, ranging from games and quizzes to arts and crafts, days out on our minibus, and gala events. Maintaining a Connection To The Community You will also get to work with community groups and invite people into the home for coffee mornings, functions, fetes, and other sponsored activities. This not only helps to create a sense of community within the home, but it also provides residents with an opportunity to socialise and interact with people outside of the home. There will be opportunities to get involved in both larger and special events that reach out across the community. These events can create that special “buzz” or sense of occasion that brings everyone together, and adds to the overall sense of fulfilment and happiness of the residents.
