A growing specialist subcontractor within the construction sector is seeking an organised and proactive Office Administrator to join their friendly and collaborative team in Bromsgrove.
The business delivers high-quality interior wall systems across healthcare, education, and commercial projects nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous construction or engineering administration experience who enjoys supporting projects, coordinating documentation, and being a key part of a busy office environment.
This role offers long-term development opportunities, including progression into an Office Manager position as the company continues to expand.
The RoleThis position will play a central role in supporting the smooth running of projects and office operations. The successful candidate will assist with project documentation, compliance administration, coordination of records, and day-to-day office support.
This is not a senior Health & Safety or ISO management role - full training will be provided. Instead, the company is looking for someone organised, personable, willing to learn, and comfortable working within a construction environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and maintaining project documentation
Uploading and tracking RAMS, H&S documentation, certifications, and compliance paperwork
Keeping subcontractor records, training logs, and insurance documentation up to date
Supporting PQQs, tender submissions, and pre-construction administration
Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather required information
General office administration and coordination
Managing calls, emails, and correspondence
Supporting senior management with scheduling, reporting, and documentation
Assisting in maintaining an organised and positive office environment
Supporting administration of ISO 9001 documentation
Assisting with audit preparation and compliance records
Maintaining H&S files and training records
Developing knowledge of quality and compliance systems through training provided
Previous administration experience within construction, engineering, or contracting environments
Comfortable handling compliance documents and project-related paperwork
Exposure to RAMS, H&S administration, or project support is advantageous
Strong IT skills and good organisational ability
Friendly and confident communicator
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Calm under pressure and proactive in approach
Enjoys working as part of a sociable and supportive team
IOSH or NEBOSH (advantageous but not essential)
Exposure to ISO 9001 systems beneficial
