About the Role
Join one of the leading companies in the development and deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) as they advance from design to commercial implementation. They are seeking a Commercial Nuclear Quality Project Engineer with deep commercial nuclear experience to lead and coordinate quality assurance activities across large, complex projects.

Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Schedule: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $150-160k
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of quality assurance experience in the commercial nuclear industry
Bachelor of Science in a technical field from an accredited college
Needs to have strong knowledge of ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME BPVC Section III
Prior experience as a quality lead for large, complex projects
Demonstrated experience in developing requirements traceability matrices and ensuring project compliance
Experience writing procedures, technical instructions, and QA documentation
Proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, supply chain, and customers
Knowledge of ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1
Exceptional technical writing, communication, and organizational skills
Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810
Preferred:
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other international quality standards
Experience with multi-phase, first-of-a-kind projects
Position Overview:
The Commercial Nuclear Quality Project Engineer serves as a central point of contact between internal project teams, external partners, and customers, ensuring that quality requirements are clearly understood, implemented, and flowed down to suppliers as applicable. Responsibilities include:
Leading cross-functional quality interfaces across internal teams and partner organizations
Writing and maintaining QA procedures, instructions, and project documentation
Supporting project risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Managing first-of-a-kind quality issues in a dynamic, evolving project environment
Coordinating and directing project activities through QA leads, supervisors, and managers
Supporting responses to customer requests and proposals with quality input
Ensuring compliance with NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and ASME Section III
