A Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the products/services provided by an organisation are fit for purpose, legally compliant and meet customer requirements. You will produce data reporting on performance over the long term. Here are the signs you’d make a good quality manager:

• monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports

Getting started

While quality management is open to all graduates, a degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in one of the following subjects may be advantageous:

• engineering and manufacturing
• food science and technology
• physical/mathematical/applied science
• polymer science technology
• textile technology.

Entry into this field is possible without a degree or HND with substantial experience and training. This can be gained through a position as a Quality Control Technician.

Relevant work experience will give you the required knowledge and experience for this role.
