About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Coordinator Review & Child Protection (LAC) to join our dynamic team in Walsall. This pivotal role involves overseeing the review processes and ensuring the safety and well-being of Looked After Children (LAC). The successful candidate will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and external agencies to promote positive outcomes for children in care.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating and facilitating statutory reviews for Looked After Children to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Working closely with social work teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
Conducting quality assurance checks on case files and documentation to maintain high standards of practice.
Building strong relationships with children, families, and stakeholders to support the best interests of children in care.
Providing training and support to social workers in child protection policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Essential skills include:
Proven experience in child protection and working with Looked After Children.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
