About the Role

Azure Architect - SC cleared +6 months + +fully remote working +SC clearance - must be active +Inside IR35 +£550 - £600 a day We are seeking a Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect to participate in a structured knowledge transfer (KT) handover from the incumbent cloud architect. This role focuses on absorbing, documenting, and validating information about the existing Azure environment to ensure a smooth transition of ownership to the internal team. The focus is 100% on receiving KT, understanding the current-state cloud landscape, and preparing to take over operational and architectural responsibilities once handover is complete. There is no initial design or build work; the primary responsibility is to learn, document, and transition knowledge. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure across core services (compute, networking, storage, identity). Ability to review and understand existing architecture and configurations. Excellent ability to learn quickly, ask the right questions, and absorb complex technical environments. Practical knowledge of Azure monitoring tools, governance, security, and identity management (Azure AD/Entra ID). Strong documentation skills and the ability to translate KT into clear guides and runbooks. Preferred Qualifications Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305, AZ‑400 beneficial). Experience in cloud environment takeovers, service transitions, or onboarding into complex technical estates. Understanding of DevOps practices and tooling (not required but beneficial).
