Responsibilities: Install and troubleshoot control systems, servo drives, motors, vision system, HMIs, SCADAs and PLCs on high-speed assembly, packaging, and process equipment. Troubleshoot, continuously improve and create imaging programs for assembly and processing equipment. Good knowledge in the vision system with latest technologies applications example camera applications, light source applications, vision programming with python programming, C++/C Programming, machine learning and/or deep learning. Develop, collaborate on, and review wiring diagrams and logic for new equipment, field retrofits, and upgrades. Provide extensive support for continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to respond in a dynamic and fast-growing environment. Utilize excellent troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach to identify root cause and define solution. Ability to be independent and self-motivated. Research and analyze data for specifications, feasibility studies, and productivity improvements. Plan tasks and provide significant contributions to the team. Ability to develop a medium to large control systems program from scratch. Accountable to driving maintenance process improvements in support of Insulet’s primary manufacturing objectives: Best Quality, Best Service, Best Cost. Autonomously interprets data to drive plant decision making and prioritization of reliability efforts. Plan, execute, and manage efficiency improvement projects. Develop and implement process controls to stabilize and sustain equipment reliability. Independently maintains and publishes operating scorecard to track and trend projects/improvements. Provide input and support for technology transfer and equipment design reviews. Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality policies, and employee guidelines. Maintain a cGMP compliant environment and operate within FDA guidelines. Ability to provide coaching and training to others related to Vision System, PLC Programming and any other types of programming related machine operations. To perform software assessments, software backups on Vision System, PLC Program, Robotic system and anything related to machine programs. Perform other duties as required. Education and Experience: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an electrical engineering discipline or related field 1-2 years of experience working directly on automated manufacturing equipment Hands-on experience in setup and operation of automated production equipment Advanced proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and data analytics tools Process oriented and uses data to make decisions. Demonstrated success using problem solving methodologies such as A3, PDCA, DMAIC, etc. Ability to fulfill job responsibilities in a fast-paced/high-volume production environment. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong PLC programming skills for Allen Bradley, Siemens and Mitsubishi. Beckhoff programming is a plus. Strong HM and SCADA development experience. Good SQL Server Database knowledge with some MES background and Visual Basic Programming a plus Good experience in vision system and coding development is strong advantage. Strong Knowledge of VFD and Servo drives. Strong knowledge of servo motion control concepts and robotics Familiarity working within cGMP guidelines and ISO 13485/21FDA820 regulations. Experience working in a regulated industry, in particular consumable products. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
